Gold Prices Rise Ahead of US Jobs Report Amid Slowing Rate Hike Expectations
Gold prices rose in Friday's trading as investors awaited key US jobs data for clues on the Federal Reserve's monetary policy outlook.
The US dollar index, which measures the greenback against a basket of six major currencies, fell 0.20% to 101.92 points, but remained on track for a weekly gain.
Traders are now pricing in just a 28% chance of an interest rate hike this month, down from around 70% earlier in the week.
