Gold Prices Rise as Crude Oil Eases, but US Fed Hawkish Outlook Reverses Gains
New Delhi: Gold prices saw an uptick on a weekly basis, rising by nearly 1.18% as crude oil prices eased.
The price of gold futures for October delivery on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) declined 0.84%, while silver futures for December shed 0.16%
The price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold stood at Rs 1,53,727 on Friday, up from Rs 1,51,938 seen last week.
The rebound in crude oil prices was short-lived as the US Federal Reserve's unexpectedly hawkish outlook overshadowed a rate hike that had been largely anticipated by markets.
