Gold Prices Rise in India Amid West Asia Tensions
Gold prices rose in India on Wednesday, September 16, as investors continued to track geopolitical developments and uncertainty in West Asia. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures for October delivery were up nearly 0.65% at ₹151,785 per 10 grams.
Retail gold prices also remained elevated, with 24-carat gold quoted at ₹152,330 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹139,636. Silver of 999 fineness was priced at ₹234,900 per kg.
Prices varied across major cities, with Delhi recording a 24-carat gold price of ₹151,790 per 10 grams and Mumbai at ₹152,050. Silver was quoted at ₹234,070 per kg in Delhi and ₹234,480 per kg in Mumbai.
