Gold Prices Rise in Pakistan Amid Geopolitical Tensions
Gold prices in Pakistan rose on Monday after a significant decline over the weekend. The price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs1,700 per tola, reaching Rs428,436. This comes despite international gold rates experiencing a slight decline.
Silver prices also moved higher, gaining Rs54 per tola and taking it to Rs6,291.
An analyst at Interactive Commodities noted that global investors remain cautious due to ongoing geopolitical tensions and expectations of fresh economic developments in the United States. The Federal Reserve's future monetary policy decisions are being closely monitored, particularly employment data.
The Pakistani rupee posted a modest gain against the US dollar, appreciating by 0.01% and closing at Rs277.77 per dollar.
