The price of gold in Vietnam has seen an increase over the past week, but buyers are still suffering from significant losses due to the wide gap between buying and selling prices.

As of September 19, the price of SJC gold bars at Saigon SJC Jewelry Company stood at 144.6-147.6 million VND/tael (buying-selling), with a difference of 3 million VND/tael between the two directions.

This is an increase of 1.6 million VND/tael in both buying and selling directions compared to the same time on September 12. A similar development was recorded at DOJI, where the SJC gold bar price also increased by 1.6 million VND/tael.

Despite the increase in gold prices, buyers who purchased SJC gold bars on September 12 and resold them on September 19 at SJC or DOJI still suffered a loss of about 1.4 million VND/tael due to the high buying-selling difference.
