Gold prices rose on August 3, according to goodreturns.in. The price of 24 karat gold (99.9% purity) stood at Rs 14,422 per gram, a 0.3 percent increase from the previous day's rate. In contrast, 22 karat gold (91.6% purity) was priced at Rs 13,220 per gram, while 18 karat gold (75% purity) cost Rs 10,816 per gram.

Experts attribute this rise to investors' caution regarding the geopolitical situation, which has provided support for gold prices. The Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) also saw a gain in gold prices, with the metal opening at Rs 1.43 lakh per 10 grams.
