Gold Prices Slashed in Bangladesh
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) has revised gold prices in the domestic market after two consecutive increases. The price of 22-carat gold has been reduced by Tk1,691 per bhori to Tk2,32,930, including VAT.
Bajus announced the revised prices in a notice issued on Sunday, which came into effect at 10am the same day.
The new rates are as follows: a bhori (11.664 grams) of 22-carat gold will cost Tk2,32,930, while 21-carat gold will be Tk2,22,491 per bhori.
