Gold Prices Slide Ahead of Jackson Hole Speech
Gold prices fell in Friday's trading as investors awaited a speech by Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh at the Jackson Hole symposium. The anticipated remarks come after Fed officials expressed concerns over US inflation at the symposium on Thursday.
According to the CME FedWatch Tool, there is currently a 66% probability that the Federal Reserve will leave interest rates unchanged next month.
The US dollar index was little changed at 99.19 and is on track for a 0.3% weekly gain.
