Gold Prices Slide Amid Escalating Middle East Tensions
Gold prices continued to face downward pressure on September 16, as escalating Middle East tensions and a stronger dollar weighed heavily on the market.
Spot gold declined 0.29% to $4,282 per ounce, while US gold futures fell 0.10% to $4,328.
The bullion remains under pressure from rising oil prices, with Brent crude reaching $108 per barrel, and a strengthening dollar that rose for the sixth straight session against the rupee at 95.88.
