Gold Prices Soar ₹1,600 Per 10 Grams Ahead of Festive Season
Gold prices have made a sharp comeback in India after a decline in July. According to recent market data, 24-carat gold has surged ₹1,600 per 10 grams, bringing its price close to the ₹1.5 lakh mark.
The price of 24-carat gold is now at ₹1,49,890 per 10 grams, indicating renewed buying interest ahead of upcoming festivals and weddings. Silver prices have also remained firm, suggesting a broader uptick in precious metal demand.
Jewellers say the increase in gold prices is due to rising international gold prices and seasonal domestic demand. They expect consumers to continue purchasing despite higher rates.
