Gold prices saw a significant fluctuation in recent days due to increasing geopolitical tensions and safe-haven demand. On July 27, gold prices rose by nearly 1% on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), following increased investor interest in the metal as a stable investment option during uncertain times.

The price increase was largely driven by the US-Iran situation, which led to heightened geopolitical tensions and uncertainty among investors. As a result, many turned to gold as a safe-haven asset, causing prices to rise.

However, on July 23, gold prices eased by 0.5%, opening at Rs 1.45 lakh per 10 grams. This volatility highlights the market's sensitivity to geopolitical factors and investor sentiment.

The current gold prices for different karats are as follows: 24-karat gold is priced at Rs 14,586 per gram, 22-karat gold at Rs 13,370 per gram, and 18-karat gold at Rs 10,939 per gram.
