Gold and silver prices saw a significant rise in India's MCX market on Friday. Over three days, gold prices increased by Rs 7,000 per 10 gm and silver prices rose by Rs 11,500 per kg.

The international Comex market told a different story - while gold prices rose 0.36% to $4,320 per ounce, silver prices fell in the same market.

Back in India, gold prices surged at MCX, closing at around Rs 1.49 lakh per 10 grams, while silver prices plummeted by a significant amount, trading at around Rs 2.27 lakh per kg.

Experts attribute the increase in gold prices to profit booking by investors, strength in the dollar index, and caution before the US Federal Reserve meeting.
