Gold Prices Soar as Oil Prices and Bond Yields Plummet
Gold prices rose by more than one percent on Wednesday, driven by a decline in oil prices and US Treasury bond yields. This development comes as investors await the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision and comments from its Chair, Kevin Warsh, for clues about future monetary policy.
The price of spot gold increased 1.4% to $4,353.82 per ounce after hitting a more than one-month low on Monday. US gold futures for December delivery also climbed 1.4% to $4,395.10 per ounce.
