Gold prices in Pakistan surged on Saturday, with the price per tola increasing by Rs5,700. The jump was sparked by a rise in international gold prices.

The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association reported that gold reached Rs482,936 per tola, following a previous gain of Rs5,200 recorded on Friday. The 10-gram gold price also saw an increase of Rs4,972, reaching Rs414,039 in the local market.

International gold prices rose by $57 to reach $4,604 per ounce, including a premium of $20, according to reported market rates. Local bullion rates tend to respond to global prices and currency movements, contributing to the rise in domestic prices.
