Gold Prices Soar in Pakistan Following Global Uptrend
Gold prices surged on Wednesday in Karachi, Pakistan, following a global trend. According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, gold prices rose by Rs4,300 to settle at Rs441,636 per tola and Rs378,631 per 10 grams.
The increase was triggered by a rise of USD 43 in gold bullion rates globally, which reached USD 4,191 per ounce. The association also noted that silver prices remained steady at USD 61 per ounce, with only a minor increase of USD 0.20.
As a result, domestic silver prices edged higher by Rs20 and Rs17, reaching Rs6,578 per tola and Rs5,639 per 10 grams, respectively.
The association cautioned that open market prices may vary due to interbank exchange rates.
