Gold prices have risen on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) due to fresh positions created by speculators and firm spot demand. The price of gold futures for October delivery increased by Rs 704, or 0.46 per cent, to Rs 1,53,522 per 10 grams. This rise comes as speculators take on new positions amid steady demand from buyers.

The business turnover for the contract was 1,560 lots, indicating significant trading activity in the market. The price of silver futures also saw a gain of Rs 1,003 to reach Rs 2,40,019 per kg.

These developments suggest that investors are showing interest in gold as a safe-haven asset amidst market volatility. However, it is essential to monitor market trends and adjust investment strategies accordingly.
