Gold prices remained relatively steady in international markets on September 10, trading near $4,456 per ounce. However, domestic gold prices were influenced by expectations around the US Federal Reserve's upcoming rate decision and rising geopolitical tensions.

The Comex gold futures declined 0.10% to around $4,456 per ounce during morning trade, while silver fell 1.04% to $67.93 per ounce.

On the domestic market, MCX gold futures for the October contract closed Wednesday 0.03% lower at ₹1,53,721 per 10 grams, while MCX silver gained 2.04% to ₹2,44,300 per kilogram.

The rupee was quoted at ₹95.08 against the US dollar on a provisional basis, amid selling pressure and heightened US-Iran tensions.
