Gold Prices Surge Amid US-Iran Tensions and Fed Policy Worries

Gold prices inched up by Rs 100 to Rs 1,47,500 per 10 grams on Tuesday in New Delhi amid ongoing US-Iran diplomatic developments and uncertainty surrounding the Federal Reserve's policy outlook.

The yellow metal of 99.9% purity had closed at Rs 1,47,400 per 10 grams on Monday, but silver prices remained unchanged at Rs 2,26,500 per kilogram (inclusive of all taxes), according to the All India Sarafa Association.

Traders said gold witnessed modest buying in the domestic market, while silver traded in a narrow range.
