Gold prices continued their upward momentum on August 10, staying above $4,300 per ounce for the fifth consecutive trading session. The market is anticipating a series of US inflation data releases this week, which will provide clues about the Federal Reserve's interest rate roadmap.

The recent decline in US jobs numbers has reduced concerns about an imminent interest rate hike, supporting gold prices. According to Tim Waterer, a market expert, gold is likely to remain above $4,300 per ounce in the short term due to reduced concerns about a potential interest rate increase.

The focus of the market this week will be on US inflation data releases, including the consumer price index (CPI) on August 12 and the producer price index (PPI) on August 13. A cooling down of inflation may continue to support gold prices, while higher-than-expected inflation figures could adjust interest rate expectations, putting pressure on precious metals.

On the energy market, oil prices remained high, with Brent oil for October delivery at $83.70 per barrel and WTI oil for September delivery at $78.18 per barrel. Silver prices continued to rise sharply, reaching $64.3035 per ounce, while platinum prices were slightly up at $1,749.65 per ounce.
