On October 6, gold was priced at Rs 1,09,280 per sovereign and Rs 13,660 per gram.

Meanwhile, silver prices in the city remained unchanged, continuing to sell at Rs 245 per gram, or Rs 2,45,000 per kg. This stability contrasts with the gold market, where prices have shown more volatility.

Looking back at the same date last year, gold prices have surged significantly. On October 7, 2025, gold was priced at Rs 89,600 per sovereign, or Rs 11,200 per gram, marking a 22.41% increase to the current price of Rs 1,09,680 per sovereign.

Over the past five days, gold prices have fluctuated slightly. On October 6, prices were Rs 1,09,280 per sovereign and Rs 13,660 per gram, while on October 5 and 3, they were Rs 1,09,400 per sovereign and Rs 13,675 per gram. On October 2, prices peaked at Rs 1,10,200 per sovereign and Rs 13,775 per gram. Silver prices, however, have remained steady at Rs 245 per gram from October 5 to October 7, with a slight dip to Rs 240 per gram on October 1.
