Gold Prices Surge in India as Silver Holds Steady

Gold prices in India moved upward on Friday, October 2, 2026. According to market rates, 24-carat gold is priced at ₹1.50 lakh per 10 grams, while 22-carat and 18-carat gold are trading around ₹1.37 lakh and ₹1.12 lakh per 10 grams respectively in most major cities. Silver prices remain steady at ₹2.40 lakh per kg across the country.

The rates for different cities show a slight variation, with Delhi having the highest price of ₹1.50,450 per 10 grams for 24-carat gold and ₹1.37,900 per 10 grams for 22-carat gold. Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Kolkata have similar prices.

The silver rates are uniform across all cities at ₹2.35 lakh per kg in some places, but ₹2.40 lakh per kg in Hyderabad.
