Gold Prices Surge in Iraq's Major Markets
Gold prices in Baghdad and Erbil markets have seen an increase on Thursday. According to a survey by Shafaq News, the prices of gold are hovering above 965,000 IQD per mithqal. In Baghdad's Al-Nahr Street market, the selling price for 21-carat gold is 967,000 IQD per mithqal, while the buying price is 963,000 IQD. This is a slight increase from Wednesday's prices, where the same gold was sold for 960,000 IQD.
The selling price of 21-carat Iraqi gold stands at 937,000 IQD, with a buying price of 933,000 IQD. In jewelry stores, the selling price of 21-carat Gulf gold ranges between 970,000 and 980,000 IQD, while Iraqi gold is sold for between 940,000 and 950,000 IQD.
In Erbil, the prices are slightly higher, with 22-carat gold being sold at 1,009,000 IQD per mithqal, 21-carat gold at 965,000 IQD, and 18-carat gold at 826,000 IQD. These prices indicate a moderate increase in gold prices across the two cities.
