Gold Prices Surge on MCX Amid Strong Spot Demand
Gold prices rose on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) due to robust spot demand and fresh speculative positions. The October delivery contract saw a 0.12% increase, trading at Rs 1,52,769 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 635 lots.
The rise was driven by speculators creating new positions on firm spot demand. Analysts stated that this led to the price increase.
International gold futures also saw an increase, with prices rising 0.65% to USD 4,384.16 per ounce in New York.
