Gold Prices Trade Below Elevated Levels Amid International Market Sensitivity
Gold prices in India continued to trade below elevated levels seen earlier in September, with domestic gold prices sensitive to international bullion movements, currency fluctuations, interest rate expectations, and geopolitical developments.
The precious metal attracted attention from both investors and jewellery buyers despite the recent correction in prices. Retail rates varied across Indian cities depending on local market conditions, taxes, and jeweller-specific premiums.
According to the latest available market rates, 24-carat gold was priced at around INR 1,48,940 per 10 grams in Delhi, while 22-carat gold was priced at around INR 1,37,250 per 10 grams. Similar prices were observed in other cities such as Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.
Buyers should check the latest rate with local jewellers before making a purchase, as the final price of jewellery may vary depending on GST, making charges, and jeweller-specific premiums.
