Gold Prices Unchanged at Major Jewellery Brands Amid Global Economic Uncertainty
The global economy has absorbed the recent shock better than expected, but fiscal risks are rising in some countries, according to IMF chief Kristalina Georgieva. Gold and silver prices remained largely unchanged at major jewellery brands today (August 26, 2026). The India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) reported a slight decline in gold prices compared to the evening rates of August 25.
As of August 26, Tanishq's price for 22k gold jewellery is Rs 15,055 per gram across major cities. Malabar Gold & Diamonds and Joyalukkas also priced their 22k gold at Rs 15,010 per gram. Kalyan Jewellers' 22k gold rate is the same as well.
The IBJA's indicative retail selling rates for gold jewellery on August 26 are: 24K / Fine Gold (999) - Rs 16,143 per gram, 22K - Rs 15,756 per gram. Silver prices moved higher at Rs 2,44,147 per kg.
