Gold Reaches Seven-Week High on Weaker Dollar and Lower Yields
Gold prices have reached their highest level in seven weeks after rising 1% for the fourth consecutive session. The increase is attributed to a weaker US dollar and lower US Treasury yields.
Spot gold gained 1% to $4,285.69 per ounce, its highest level since June 18. US gold futures climbed 0.9% to $4,345.50.
The prices of other precious metals also rose: spot silver increased by 0.4% to $62.34 per ounce, platinum gained 0.8% to $1,750.15, and palladium went up 1% to $1,377.00.
