Gold prices rebounded by 1.62% on September 29, ending a recent period of weakness.

The international spot price closed at $4,182.24 per ounce after touching a high of $4,185.12 and a low of $4,113.19.

Aetram India Research attributed the recovery to renewed demand at lower levels but noted that elevated US Treasury yields and expectations surrounding Federal Reserve policy continued to restrict broader momentum.

The U.S. 10-year Treasury yield closed near 5.255%, after reaching 5.293% during the session, while MCX Gold also strengthened, closing at ₹149,712 compared with the previous close of ₹146,513, representing a 2.18% rise.
