Gold, Silver Prices Edge Lower Amid Easing Inflation Pressure
Gold and silver prices retreated in Thursday's trading after experiencing a significant rally due to easing US inflation.
The dollar index, which measures the US currency against a basket of six major currencies, remained stable at 99.97 points.
A slowdown in US annual inflation for the second consecutive month has put pressure on the US Federal Reserve to tighten monetary policy, reducing the likelihood of a September rate hike to 40%, down from 54% previously.
