Gold and silver prices took a hit on Thursday, September 24, as demand weakened. The Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) saw gold contracts for October delivery fall by Rs 171 per 10 grams to Rs 1,51,128.

The decline in gold prices was attributed to weaker demand in the spot market, with market analysts pointing to this factor as a major influence on global bullion prices. International gold also decreased by 0.25 percent to $4,277.

Silver prices followed suit, dropping alongside the broader precious metals market. The current silver price in Delhi stands at Rs 245 per gram and Rs 245,000 per kg.
