Gold Soars on US-Iran Peace Hopes, Reaches Six-Week High
The price of gold surged on Wednesday, rising over 3% and reaching its highest point in nearly six weeks. This significant increase was largely driven by renewed optimism over peace talks between the US and Iran, which eased inflation concerns and contributed to a decline in the value of the US dollar.
The market's response was substantial, with gold prices breaking through key barriers, including the range top at $4203. The base of the falling daily Ichimoku cloud also provided support for this upward momentum.
However, technical analysts are cautious in their interpretation of these developments, noting that a sustained break above these barriers is necessary to confirm a stronger recovery and expose new price levels. A potential reversal signal may be triggered if gold prices violate the next key barrier at $4304, which represents the 38.2% Fibonacci level of $4889/$3942.
