Gold Soars to Two-Month High as Dollar Hits 2-Month Low
Gold prices rose on Monday, reaching a two-month high as the dollar hit a 2-month low and hike odds dropped to 30%.
The spot price of gold gained 0.5% to $4,399.44 an ounce, while gold futures advanced 0.4% to $4,455.90.
The dollar index declined 0.2% to 99.49, making dollar-denominated bullion cheaper for buyers using other currencies.
Silver prices also rose, climbing 1.7% to $65.83 an ounce, while platinum and palladium advanced 1.8% and 1.6%, respectively.
