Gold Stocks Rally as Safe Haven Demand Reaches New Heights
Global bond markets are adjusting as US 10-year Treasury yields react to weaker jobs data, drawing attention back to safe-haven assets. In this environment, investors are searching for alternatives with different drivers of value.
Three gold stocks from the Elite Gold Stocks screener offer targeted exposure to this theme: Greatland Resources (ASX:GGP), DPM Metals (TSX:DPM), and IAMGOLD (TSX:IMG).
Greatland Resources, an Australian gold and copper miner, owns the Telfer gold-copper mine and the Havieron project in Western Australia. The company has a market cap of A$8 billion and reported FY26 production of 328,987 ounces of gold and 14,594 tonnes of copper.
With high earnings quality, a 33.6% net margin, and strong ROE of 37.9%, Greatland Resources is already converting resources into cash. However, the company's leverage to the gold price cuts both ways, and significant insider selling is a clear risk signal investors should weigh carefully.
DPM Metals, a Toronto-based gold mining company, has established fundamentals and defined projects in progress. The company generated most of its revenue from the Chelopech mine at about $744 million, with additional contribution from Ada Tepe at about $275 million.
IAMGOLD, another Toronto-based gold producer and developer, is attracting attention because Côté Gold is moving from a single project into a larger gold hub. The company reported near-record production in Q2 2026 and returned about 45% of its free cash flow via share repurchases.
