Gold Surges to Three-Month High Amid Weakening Dollar
On August 24th, gold prices reached their highest level in over three months as they hit $4,641.27 per ounce, an increase of 0.8% from Monday's opening price.
This surge was largely driven by a weakening US dollar, making gold more attractive to buyers using other currencies.
The current price marks the highest since May 15th, with spot gold having surged over 5% last week.
US gold futures also rose, increasing by 0.4% to $4,697.70.
