As Diwali 2026 approaches, investors are weighing the merits of gold and silver ETFs for Muhurat trading. Experts highlight that gold offers pure investment value, while silver combines investment and industrial utility, potentially making it more volatile. Gold prices are currently around ₹1,42,500 per 10 grams and are projected to reach ₹1,80,000 by next Diwali, a 26% increase. Silver, priced at ₹1,85,000 per kg, could surge to ₹3,00,000 by Diwali 2027, a 62% rise.

Anuj Gupta, a SEBI-registered market expert, emphasizes that while price predictions are important, they shouldn't be the sole factor in choosing between gold and silver ETFs. Pankaj Mathpal, CEO of Optima Money Managers, advises that investors with a low risk appetite should opt for gold ETFs, while those with higher risk tolerance may consider silver ETFs for potentially greater returns.

Mathpal also recommends evaluating the premium at which gold and silver ETFs are trading. A high premium may indicate a potential decline, so investors should compare the category return with the plan's return. Popular ETFs from ICICI Prudential and Nippon India are noted as reliable options for investors.

The article concludes with a disclaimer, urging investors to consult certified financial experts before making any investment decisions.
