Goldplat Sees Strong Profits Amid Dropped Fourth Quarter Orders
Aim-listed Goldplat reported strong combined operating profits of £3.2-million for its two recovery operations in the quarter ended June 30.
The company's net finance cost and foreign exchange profits resulted in a combined profit before tax of £3.4-million.
Goldplat's South African operation achieved gross profits of £2.6-million, while Ghanaian operations saw £830 000 in gross profits.
Despite the high gold price, orders dropped by 16% during the fourth quarter, affecting profit margins.
