Goturdepe Oil Field Surpasses Production Target in Eight Months
Turkmenistan's Goturdepe oil field has exceeded its production target by 11.5% in the first eight months of this year, producing 717,240 tons of crude oil.
The Goturdepenebit oil and gas production department, which operates the field, surpassed its target by 74,169 tons compared to the same period last year, according to a report by Turkmennebit State Concern.
The department's output increased by 5.4% in the first eight months of this year compared to the same period in 2025.
The field has been a focus for efforts to improve oil recovery from existing wells, including cooperation with Russia's Tatneft. A modern compressor station was commissioned at the field in 2026, allowing over 400 wells to be switched to gas-lift technology.
