Grain Exports from Kazakhstan Soar to Afghanistan

Kazakhstan's grain shipments to Afghanistan have seen a significant increase of 4.4 times, according to Vice Minister Zhanibek Taizhanov.

This increase is part of a larger trend in grain exports from Kazakhstan, with 9.3 million tons transported by rail over the past eight months - a 13% rise compared to the same period last year.

The majority of these shipments were for export, with 7.2 million tons sent abroad and 2.1 million tons supplied domestically.

Taizhanov also highlighted growth in grain shipments to Central Asia (37%) and China (34%), as well as a 9% increase in exports through Russia's ports.
