Grain Futures Market Sees Volatility Amid Rain Forecasts
The grain and livestock futures markets are experiencing some fluctuations in prices as of September 29th. The DTN Progressive Farmer reported that December corn is down 2.25 cents per bushel, while November soybeans are up 7 cents. However, December Kansas City wheat is taking a hit, down 8.5 cents due to rain forecasts for Texas and Oklahoma panhandles and western Kansas.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average is also down by 306.93 points, with the U.S. Dollar Index up 0.31 and November crude oil down $1.07 per barrel. December gold is up $17.90 per ounce.
