Grain Markets See Volatility as Corn Prices Fall Below $5.00
Corn prices have fallen below $5.00 for December contracts, according to Pro Farmer's Ahead of the Open report on October 2, 2026. This marks a decline in corn prices, which are also expected to be lower by 1-3 cents.
The USDA reported daily export sales of 218,600 MT of corn for delivery to Mexico, with 173,800 MT for delivery during the 2026-27 crop year and 22,400 MT each for the following two years. This news may have contributed to the decline in corn prices.
Meanwhile, wheat saw relative strength overnight, with December SRW wheat continuing to see corrective buying. However, resistance stands at $6.96 3/4 on continued strength.
