Grain Prices Slide Amid Profit-Taking Pressure
Corn prices fell to a three-week low after closing down 2.75 cents for the week, while soybean and meal futures markets saw profit-taking pressure and weak long liquidation.
According to Pro Farmer's After the Bell report on September 18, 2026, corn futures market saw a technically bearish weekly low close, setting the stage for follow-through chart-based selling from the specs early next week.
Soybeans fell 16.25 cents to $13.03.50, with December soybean meal down $12.70 to $358.60 and December bean oil losing 93 points to 68.22 cents, near its daily low.
Cotton futures hit a six-week low after falling 102 points to 81.15 cents for the week, while cattle prices rose $0.275 to $215.925 with October live cattle futures up from last week's decline of $3.75.
