Grains and Livestock Markets Open with Mixed Results
The grains and livestock futures markets began the day with mixed results on Thursday. As of the start, December corn was up 1/4 cent per bushel, while November soybeans were down 6 1/4 cents.
December KC wheat, December Chicago wheat, and December MIAX wheat all saw increases of 5 cents, 2 1/2 cents, and 5 3/4 cents respectively. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 85.47 points, with the U.S. Dollar Index up 0.360 and November crude oil increasing by $0.23 per barrel.
December gold saw a significant gain of $11.40 per ounce. However, soybeans and soy products appeared weaker, while corn prices were slightly firmer, and wheat markets attempted to recover from a 7-day slide.
