Greek LNG Tanker Hit by Attack Off Oman's Coast

A Greek-operated liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier, GasLog Shanghai, was struck off the coast of Oman on July 31 while exiting the Strait of Hormuz. The ship's owner, GasLog, confirmed the incident.

No injuries were reported, and the vessel remains in stable condition. It had loaded its cargo of Qatari liquefied natural gas at the Ras Laffan Industrial Complex on July 27.

This marks the second attack on an LNG carrier transporting Qatari gas. On July 6, another QatarEnergy-controlled tanker, Al Rekayyat, was attacked by Iran, along with a Saudi-flagged crude oil tanker.
