Gujarat Ambuja Exports is set to invest Rs 333 crore in a new corn wet milling plant at Hubli, Karnataka. The greenfield facility will have an annual capacity of 850 TPD (tonnes per day) and is expected to be operational soon.

The investment is part of the company's plan to increase its overall corn wet milling capacity to 9,000 TPD by 2030. Corn wet milling separates corn into starch, gluten, fibre, and oil, which are then used as inputs for various products such as liquid glucose, high fructose syrup, and animal feed.

The location of the new plant is strategic, given that Karnataka is one of India's largest maize-producing states. By setting up a plant in Hubli, Gujarat Ambuja Exports aims to reduce transportation costs and increase efficiency in its operations.
