GULF Secures Multi-Year LNG Supply Deal with ADNOC
Gulf Development Public Company Limited (GULF) has secured a new multi-year Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with ADNOC, a global energy leader, for the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG). The deal will deliver close to 2 million tonnes of LNG to GULF starting in 2027, strengthening the company’s LNG portfolio and trading capabilities.
The agreement builds on a previous partnership established in 2025 and aligns with ADNOC’s strategy to expand its presence in the Asian LNG market. GULF’s CEO, Sarath Ratanavadi, emphasized that the deal supports the company’s goal of building a diversified and resilient LNG supply chain, enhancing its trading opportunities in Asia.
Ratanavadi noted that GULF has been investing in infrastructure and shipping capabilities while expanding relationships with leading LNG suppliers. He stated that the partnership with ADNOC improves the security of GULF’s LNG portfolio and prepares the company to meet future energy demands.
Nasser Al Muhairi, Acting CEO of ADNOC Downstream Industry, Marketing & Trading, highlighted that the agreement reinforces ADNOC’s commitment to reliable energy supplies for its Asian customers. He described it as another milestone in ADNOC’s global LNG marketing and trading platform.
