Hanoi's Gold Market Sees Fewer Buyers Amid High Prices
Gold prices have maintained their high levels in Hanoi's market, prompting buyers to be more cautious and deliberate in their transactions. According to a report from Laodong.vn, the number of customers visiting gold shops on September 19 was relatively low compared to previous times.
Ms. Le Ngoc Hoa, a resident of Bach Mai ward, purchased three gold rings at a store on Tran Nhan Tong street. She explained that she used to buy gold quickly when prices were high, but now takes more time to consider her purchases carefully. 'Before, I bought gold quite quickly, when I found it suitable, I bought it without thinking much. Currently, the price is still high but it has been lower than at the beginning of the year, the market is also less crowded, so I consider more carefully,' she said.
Another customer, Mr. Hoang Van Nam, also from Bach Mai ward, purchased six taels of plain round gold rings as planned before. He stated that he bought exactly what he needed and did not intend to buy more due to the high current price.
The prices of SJC gold bars were listed at 144.6-147.6 million VND/tael (buying - selling), with a difference of 3 million VND/tael between buying and selling. Meanwhile, DOJI Group listed its gold rings at 144-148 million VND/tael (buying - selling) with a difference of 4 million VND/tael.
