Heritage Petroleum Reports Lowest Annual Profit in Four Years
Heritage Petroleum, Trinidad and Tobago's national oil company, reported its lowest annual profit in four years at $817 million for the year ended September 30, 2025. The decline in profit is attributed to lower crude oil prices, which fell by 13% over the period.
In a statement accompanying the audited financial statements, Chairman Kurt Ramlal said that despite the challenging energy market conditions, Heritage remained steadfast in protecting value and delivering significant economic benefits to Trinidad and Tobago.
The company generated $7.25 billion in revenue in 2025, down from $8.25 billion a year earlier, with a net increase in cash flows after investing and financing activities reflecting disciplined capital management and stable operating performance.
Ramlal emphasized that Heritage's contribution extends beyond direct fiscal returns, supporting energy security, domestic production, and value creation across the national economy.
