Hindustan Copper Stock Slides on Profit Booking Amid Positive Momentum
Hindustan Copper's stock has declined by 2.59% to ₹541.65 following profit booking, according to recent market data.
The decline comes after a period of positive momentum driven by strong quarterly results and the successful completion of the government's Offer for Sale (OFS) of Hindustan Copper shares earlier this week.
Hindustan Copper reported a robust financial performance for Q1 FY27, with consolidated net profit surging by 162.47% year-on-year to ₹352.37 crore, while net sales grew an impressive 81.36% year-on-year to ₹936.5 crore.
The successful OFS saw the government divest up to a 6% stake in the company, with the floor price set at ₹514 per share. However, today's negative movement could reflect some post-OFS selling pressure or adjustments as the market digests the new supply of shares.
