Hindustan Zinc and Vedanta Stocks Soar on Global Silver Price Rally

Shares of Hindustan Zinc and Vedanta saw significant gains on Tuesday as global silver prices rose in both domestic and international markets. The rally in metal stocks was led by Hindustan Zinc, a major integrated silver producer, which climbed 1.59% to trade at Rs 598.50.

Vedanta's shares also rose, up 1.21% to Rs 271.25, as the parent company of Hindustan Zinc often sees its stock performance tied to the fortunes of its subsidiary. The state-owned miner NMDC gained 0.66% to reach Rs 84.40 during morning trade.

The connection between silver prices and Hindustan Zinc's share price is significant because the company relies heavily on silver sales, which account for a substantial portion of its operating profit. This means higher metal prices directly benefit the company's revenue and earnings potential.
