Hong Kong Stocks Fall Amid Escalating Middle East Tensions
Hong Kong stocks opened lower on Tuesday as tensions in the Middle East escalated.
The Hang Seng Index fell 151 points, or 0.59 percent, to 25,415 at the open, while the tech gauge dropped 0.62 percent to 4,591.
Kuaishou Technology (1024) rose 2.58 percent, leading among blue chips, whereas Alibaba (9988) and Tencent (0700) declined by 1.8 percent and 1.5 percent respectively.
Z.AI (2513) dropped 4 percent despite posting a narrowed interim net loss the previous day, while CNOOC (0883) advanced 0.6 percent due to rising oil prices.
