Hormuz LNG Traffic Boosts Middle East Oil Exports Amid Ongoing Risks

Months into the conflict with Iran, oil and gas exporters in the Gulf have found ways to keep their commodities moving despite the risks. One of these methods is increasing shipments through the Strait of Hormuz.

A recent uptick in liquefied natural gas (LNG) traffic through this key shipping lane has coincided with a rise in Middle East oil exports.

However, crossing the strait remains perilous for some vessels. Despite these challenges, Gulf exporters are managing to keep up with demand, although some customers are still missing contracted cargoes.
